Yay! Anytime i wear it out it gets alot of attention particularly to do with the masterfully crafted shoulders...

I can not get over how amazing Michelle Williams looks in the new Wonderland magazine...I first remember hearing about Wonderland when the editor of the magazine went on Dragon's Den for financial backing. He wanted to create a style conscious unisex magazine and he has succeeded...it is one of my favourite magazines.

I have never been a major fan of Williams, but the combination of the photography and the make-up make for a visually beautiful portrait of her. The interview that accompanies the editorial was done before the tragic death of Heath Ledger and I must say she comes across as a genuinely nice person...Here is her on how motherhood has changed her...

"I feel like I didn’t have any relationship with my body before Matilda. Well I did, but it was just a bad one. After having my daughter I can’t judge myself in the same way. My body has done this totally miraculous but utterly ordinary thing. The downside is that my vocabulary has shrunk to the size of a pea."

As Ciara informed me today they are selling nerdy eye glass frames in H&M, I also see they are selling them in American Apparel, I have been obsessed with glasses since i was a little kid. When i tried to fail my eye tests just so i could get a pair of glasses, fortunately or unfortunately for me, however you wanna look at it, it didn't work. Also, in my drunken haze i bought a pair of plastic fake glasses of a random guy in centra for 5 euro just so i could indulge my glasses fixation...Now nerdy eye glasses seem to be all the rage...Check out the ones below available from american apparel

At last, I post on time for model mondays...this week it is the turn of model Flo Gennaro, 17 year old Argentinan beauty, who is tipped to be one of the hottest models of 2008. Her steady rise only began last February, where is debuted at the Marni, Milan Autumn/winter show. She is has now walked for Louis Vitton and Nina Ricci...I heart her so much, i love the way she can look so boyish yet beautiful, she has such striking features and her sticky out ears - complement her look so much.

I just checked out the 2008 Pirelli Calendar and i just cant get over how amazing it is, demure with a intense dramatic use of colour... The calendar has parted from previous editions which have been beautifully shot in black and white and being more overtly sexual. The calendar features models and actress: Maggie Cheung, Agyness Deyn, Lily Donaldson, Du Juan, Doutzen Kroes, Catherine McNeil, Mo Wandan, Sasha Pivovarova, Coco Rocha, Caroline Trentini and Gemma Ward.

I sometimes dont understand how models do it...being made contort your body into weird positions to get the right shot, have people preening and at you the whole day, and then when you reach the biggish time have to deal with the mad modelling marathon that is fashion week - no sleep, constant preening and cameras in your face...no wonder these models got nasty

I have a real soft spot for star embellished clothes..even though they can remind me of little emo/rockers. But this season stars shone brightly on the catwalk with a grown up and glamourous take...

YSL - Yves Saint Laurent focused heavily on stars for its collection from dresses to tops to necklaces. My favourite piece being the meshed black star top.

Chanel - decorated their runway carpet in stars and stuck to the basics by using white stars and a black backdrop. Stars adorned accessories as well.

Topshop has a very Chanel inspired dress in their spring/summer collection and it looks like its gonna be a popular get it while you can

We did a festive photo shoot last week for U magazine.. it will be out jan 1st so check it out.. Our location was the ice skating rink in smithfield..and after are long day we skated off on to the rink ourselves.. It was my first time ice skating - weird i know. so i couldnt get really into cos i was scared i would fall on my bum and being in a dress with not much padding it wouldnt have been a good look. Im so crap at updating my blog.. Have been super busy lately so i will blame it on that... event thought that is a total lie!
So I will start of my mega updating of my blog with an article i wrote about best photographer Lili Forberg

Alek Wek, The Klaxons and Andrea Roche – what do they all have in common? Apart from the obvious – rich, successful and famous they have all been shot by the notable Dublin based fashion and music photographer Lili Forberg.

A little over two years ago Forberg emerged on the photography scene and has been steadily raising her profile ever since. She cites her biggest achievement as being able to work full time in the demanding industry “I feel so grateful that I am able to work full time as a photographer since the day I graduated from college.”

Forberg began photography at a young age. At the age of twelve, when most of us are more concerned with hanging out with our friends, Forberg was borrowing her mother’s cameras and shooting gigs. She admits that her mother knew of these late night adventures and approved of her hobby. “My mother was good about me going to gigs as long as I did my homework and went to school. My friends lied to their parents. I never had to.”

Going straight for the big guns so to speak – Forberg’s first ever gig she shot was Guns ‘n’ Roses in Cologne, an hour away from her then home in Düsseldorf, Germany. Her mother, who accompanied her into the venue, drove her but when the music got too loud she left leaving Forberg on her own. Thinking of myself as a twelve year old, being left alone in a large venue surrounded by middle age rockers, my reaction is to ask her if she was scared. Without hesitation Forberg says: “Not at all. I was too excited to be scared.”

Being a female photographer in the sweaty pits of rock concerts would appear intimidating to most. Interested in how the dynamic works in a small cramped area, where time is at the essence to get the shot, I ask Forberg is there huge competition in the photography pit. Far from the picture I imagined Forberg quashes my thoughts of snarling photographers out for themselves. “There is huge camaraderie in the pit at gigs. There is no pushing and if there is a good spot to shoot everyone swaps around.”

It is not just the pits of concerts that are a male subjugated area; the photography trade in general seems to be ruled by men. Principally in the international fashion market it is apparent where I stumble to name ten female fashion photographers. But in Dublin there is a relatively new batch of female fashion photographers trying to revert the tradition. Forberg is among one of them.

Obviously being a female photographer proves advantageous at certain times especially when it comes to Forberg’s fashion work. She feels that it certainly helps the working relationship and provides a much calmer, relaxed atmosphere. Although some of her shots seem provocative she believes that the sleaze element is absent and it always shows in the photographs if the model is comfortable.

Working with new models is part of everyday life for Forberg and it is essential that they be at ease. Regularly she has girls that have never stood in front of a camera before. Forberg says that she always tries to embolden new models to move on their own and try new poses. Some models do not need to be encouraged. “I really love discovering new talent. The results are sometimes amazing. I can’t get over some girls that are 16 years old still in school and pose like a top model. Some girls are just natural.”

Forberg has never advertised. The Internet has been an essential and invaluable tool for awareness of her company. With the likes of Myspace, Bebo and her photography blog, Forberg has mobilized every outlet for promotion and awareness. The nature of these sites allows Forberg to network with other people in the profession that might be unknown to her.

Forberg’s online presence also provides clients a snap shot in to her life. On her photography blog she uploads photographs of nights out and behind the scenes at shoots, it feels like peering into a diary and one sees what kind of person she is. Forberg started her blog when she was bored living in Germany and wanted to communicate with her friends. She realised the power of her blog when random strangers would leave comments admiring her work. Today she gets about 170 hits a day.

On Forberg’s Bebo, a social networking site, she uploads personal photographs as well as her work with recognisable Irish models Katy French, Aoife Cogan and Glenda Gilson. Through Bebo young girls contact her inquiring about how to come a model and Forberg’s model portfolio services. On average she gets 5 – 10 inquires about model portfolios a day.

Judging by the amount of attention Lili Foberg is getting it seems that 2008 offers a huge scope of further endeavors for the assiduous photographer. You never know you could be next to be captured by the lens of Lili Forberg

As lili as pointed out in her blog the Irish times published a shoot on saturday down in lough rynn castle where we happened to do a shoot as well...the funny thing is some of the spots they choose were exactly the same as the one we choose... for example a tree in the massive garden!!!... so now it looks like we copied them and we didn't, crysies! Me and Anthony went to the spigeltent last night for the opening.. La Clique was on.. it was amazing even though some bits disturbed me and i couldnt help thinking it was like a modern day freak show.. it also enthralled me and made me slightly jealous that i didnt have some weird talent like being able to fit my whole body through a tennis racket, or hula hoop with 5 billion hoops or swallow a chair leg... After the show we were led out on to the boardwalk to watch a peformance art show that involved beds floating on the water in georges dock..hard to explain but amazing to look at...

So here i am, sitting in shannon airport on my new purchase an apple laptop..yipee!
So New York..was great fun...the most random nite had to be tuesday were antonia, anto and me headed off to this super cool mexican restaurant in soho..this place has a STRICT door policy and since it was fashion week even STRICTER! Check out a picture of this place..

It looks like a normal taco shop, yet the beauty of this restaurant is that there is a guarded secret door that transports you down a long flight of stairs, through the kitchen into this amazing underground restaurant that is dark, mysterious and so hip...we had to blag our way in and thankful antonia had the gift of the gab and we were escorted downstairs and after waiting a while, were given a table it felt like it was illegal which im sure added to the appeal of the place,...the food was amazing and for the company..where do i start! A few tables away from us sat Lily Cole

ARTHUR RYAN, chairman and managing director of Primark, tops the 2005 list of the 100 most influential people in high street fashion in Drapers this week. " Ryan is no marketing guru, but he knows his product," says the trade magazine. "He has drilled his lean mean buying machine so well that Primark – which trades as Penneys in the Republic of Ireland – recently estimated that in July alone the editorial coverage its product gained in fashion magazines would have cost the business £2 million if it were advertising space." Philip Green was pipped to the number two spot by Stuart Rose, taking third place ahead of New Look chief exec Phil Wrigley, TopShop brand director Jane Shepherdson, Tesco buying director Julia Reynolds and Richard Bradbury, managing director of River Island, in tenth place. Kate Moss bought some glamour to the proceedings, taking the 12th spot. "Despite having suffered the worst few months of anyone in our Top 100, La Moss has risen high this year," we're told. "It began with ripening a few trends – skinny jeans, city shorts and waistcoats." Sienna Miller's shirking of her famed boho style put her in 17th place, while Roland Mouret's Galaxy dress put him at number 19, Hedi Slimane came in at 24, Nicolas Ghesquiere at 36, Christopher Bailey at 44, Phoebe Philo at 46 and Suzanne Tide-Frater at 47. Franz Ferdinand, Daniela Issa Helayel, Gwen Stefani, Twiggy, Trinny & Susannah, Ant & Dec and Miuccia Prada all put in an appearance on a list heavy with high flying businessmen and women and the weather was also cited as a major influence this year, coming in at number 50. "Some of the UK's climate's extremes have not helped retailers this year," we're told. "For example in May when clothing chiefs were hoping for a heatwave, it was the coldest for almost 10 years. And in September when they yearned for an early frost, parts of England and Wales experienced the warmest October since 1914."

KATE MOSS will record a duet of Fairytale In New York with Shane MacGowan of The Pogues in time for Christmas. The collaboration will raise money for Justice for Kirsty, in honour of Kirsty MacColl who sang on the original track. MacColl was killed by a speedboat while swimming in Mexico five years ago and her mother, Jean is running the campaign for an inquiry into her death.

We all went out for Miss Sarah Foxs b-day to clarendon for champers! and then to Mischeif, we went cos we thought it was 3euro a drink and it ended up being a gay halloween party and a fetish party downstairs! It was actually so much fun! we dressed up again i coped out and wore the same outfit, sarah dressed up as the girl from the ring, Erin as the queen of the ladybirds (dont ask), and una as courtney love here is some photees...

Ok, this post is long over due! At the end of september me and una had a launch nite! we started off at a restaurant launch necking back free champers and stuff our faces with superb food before moving on to harvey nichols launch where more necking of free champers was to be had! This led to a very drunken nite where i ended up robbing a mini knome from the toilets, staring open mouthed at Dita Von Teese even when she walked by us and una could only utter the words oh Dita! which i heard as oh anita! (im convinced she said oh anita! but she denys this), una spilling champagne everywhere, me and una "conducting an interview with brian kennedy" i could go on...but i will let some photees do the talking one is a blurry photee of dita von teese performing and the other is me posing with this amazing knomes they were so cute and knome like!
